Idea Description
volunteering (verb transitive) your students to do volunteer data collection and maybe a little data entry for pubwan could be very educational. of course at that point it wouldn't be volunteering...but i think the educational value would be as much as with whatever projects you're currently assigning. maybe you could make it semi-voluntary by making it an "extra credit" assignment.

teachers (and of course students) of computer programming, economics, math and a host of other subjects might come up with some interesting projects to collaborate with con ed people on.
